Regional law firm Napthens has scooped a major award at one of the most prestigious events in the corporate finance calendar.

The firm was described as ‘prolific’ by judges to win the Mid-size Law Firm of the Year category at this year’s North West Insider Dealmakers Awards.

The award, part of one of the biggest events of its kind in the region, recognises mid-sized firms which have impressed over the last 12 months with their growth, mergers and acquisitions and activity.

Napthens was also named as an adviser in the winner of Deal of the Year (sub £10m) for the investment by BGF into Joloda International Group.

Keith Melling, partner and Head of Corporate at Napthens, said: “This is recognition of how we bring complex deals to fruition to the satisfaction of all parties, and testament to the quality of the advice we have given over the last 12 months.. Our lawyers are amongst the best in the business and our clients know they will receive unrivalled service and advice.”

The winners were announced at the award ceremony at Manchester Central, hosted by TV presenter Vernon Kay on behalf of Insider Media, celebrating the most successful firms in the corporate and legal sector attended by more than 1,000 people.
