Bamber Bridge-based BusinessGiftUK.com, a longterm Rosemere Cancer Foundation supporter, is asking everyone going to a series of November business network events it is attending to pay £5 to enter its Charity Christmas Challenge.

In return for the entry fee, which will be donated to Rosemere Cancer Foundation, delegates will be given a Santa hat, a chocolate advent calendar and a sample of a Blackpool-made Brite-Mat mouse mat. The challenge is to then take a selfie wearing the hat and post it online at #SantaSelfieBGUK by Saturday, 30th November.

All selfies will appear in a gallery on the company’s Facebook page and the sender of the one judged to be the best will win 100 Brite-Mat mouse mat 2020 calendars personalised to their company. Judging the challenge will be Rosemere Cancer Foundation’s chief officer Dan Hill.

Dan said: “I will get my office colleagues to help. At the moment, we have no set judging criteria so just go for it! We are grateful to BusinessGiftUK.com for organising what is a bit of festive fun that will help us fund our 2020 projects.”

The events BusinessGiftUK.com is attending are the Shout Central Lancashire Business Club on Tuesday, 12th November, at 5-30 pm at Preston Marriott; the Shout Leyland Network on Thursdays 14th and 21st November, at 9-30 am at Fox Lane Sports Club; the Love Local Network on Tuesday, 19th November, at 6 pm at The Landmark, School Lane, Burnley; Link Up on Thursday, 21st November, at 5-30 pm at the Halfway House, Whittle-le-Woods and the Shout Network Joint Meeting on Thursday, 28th November, at 9 am at Burnley Football Club.

Anyone wanting to participate in the challenge but unable to attend one of the above events can call the company on 01772 429111 for help.

Rosemere Cancer Foundation works to bring world class cancer treatments and services to cancer patients from throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria being treated at Rosemere Cancer Centre, the region’s specialist cancer treatment centre at the Royal Preston Hospital, and at another eight local hospital cancer units across the two counties.

The charity funds cutting edge equipment, research, training and other cancer services and therapies that the NHS is unable to afford. For further information on its work, including how to make a donation, visit www.rosemere.org.uk
