Rosemere’s prize draw

There were prizes galore for charity Rosemere Cancer Foundation when its area fundraising co-ordinator Julie Hesmondhalgh visited the Bamber Bridge office of BusinessGiftUK.com.

There were prizes galore for charity Rosemere Cancer Foundation when its area fundraising co-ordinator Julie Hesmondhalgh visited the Bamber Bridge office of BusinessGiftUK.com, a longstanding corporate supporter.

The company’s MD Steve Ward presented Julie with armfuls of goodies to use as tombola and raffle prizes at forthcoming fundraising events.

Steve, who organised a client Santa selfie competition, which raised £300 for Rosemere Cancer Foundation just last Christmas, said: “We are a local company and we like to help charities that like ourselves support the community.

“I had a full samples cupboard so thought I’d give it a spring clean by donating most of what I had in there to Rosemere.”

A grateful Julie said: “Supporters organising events for us often ask if we have items to help them build a raffle. We also have a tombola drum that we lend out and use ourselves so we always need prizes. We are therefore very grateful to Steve for this wonderful array of goodies.”

Rosemere Cancer Foundation works to bring world class cancer treatments and services to cancer patients from throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria being treated at Rosemere Cancer Centre, the region’s specialist cancer treatment centre at the Royal Preston Hospital, and at another eight local hospital cancer units across the two counties.

The charity funds cutting edge equipment, research, training and other cancer services and therapies that the NHS is unable to afford. For further
