At midnight this Friday, August 28, the Sub36 Awards will close for entries, giving Lancashire businesses and the young people in them just two more days to enter.

The Sub36 Awards are Lancashire Business View’s celebration of the next generation of employees, entrepreneurs and young businesses.

The event returns for its fourth year under the Sub36 brand (formerly Young ‘Uns) with an improved package of support for the winners, including access to a bespoke mentoring programme provided by Northern Mentoring Programme and an exclusive package of sales support provided by Sales Geek.

And this year’s competition sees many new changes with four new categories, a revamped event taking place online, and more opportunities for finalists to receive exposure and opportunities to connect with those involved in the Sub36 Awards programme.

The winners will be announced at the online awards ceremony, taking place on Thursday 22 October.

Lancashire Skills and Employment Hub, True Bearing Chartered Financial Planners and Two Zero are each supporting the campaign as category sponsors. Each has the opportunity to mentor one of the Sub36 Awards 2020 winners.

The latest sponsor to confirm is Lancashire Skills and Employment Hub, who are sponsoring the Apprentice Award for the third year running.

Sara Gaskell, strategic partnership manager said: “The Lancashire Skills and Employment Hub is delighted to be sponsoring the Sub36 Apprentice Award again this year.  A priority for the LSEP is driving up talent through the engagement of businesses and employees in apprenticeships. The impact of Covid-19 has had an adverse impact on younger employees – we want to encourage Lancashire businesses to continue to invest in young people to grow their talent base and boost productivity.

“And we are looking forward to celebrating Apprenticeship talent from across the Lancashire area and the impact that Apprentices have on business productivity and performance.”

Sub36 Awards 2020 is in association with Positive Pennine. The mentoring partner is Northern Mentoring Programme, and funding partner is Rosebud. The awards are also sponsored by Lancashire Skills & Employment Hub, Sales, True Bearing Chartered Financial Planners and Two Zero.

More details of the awards and nomination process can be found here (link) and – with just two categories remaining available for sponsorship – companies interested in promoting their brand through the Sub36 Awards campaign can contact Stephen Bolton.
