As lockdown restrictions finally began easing in the UK, Downtown in Business hosted a special live event at INNSiDE by Meliá, Manchester on Wednesday 19th May 2021.

The event title ‘The Future of Marketing Place’ heard from four of the North’s leading marketing personalities to discuss their ideas, thoughts and vision of what place marketing will look like in 2021 and beyond.

The event sponsored by Western Union Business Solutions, OBI and ESA Space Solutions featured Sheona Southern, Marketing Manchester; Chris Brown, Marketing Liverpool; Rachel McQueen, Marketing Lancashire and Belinda Eldridge, Visit Leeds/Leeds City Council.

The event discussed the plan for the post covid recovery for the North and the need for the collaboration on marketing what the North of England has to offer.
