Down-toon is launched

The chief executive of Newcastle City Council Pam Smith was the keynote speaker at the launch of Downtown in Business Newcastle. She was joined by the chief executive of Liverpool John Lennon Airport John Irving, who was previously the Finance Director of Newcastle United Football Club, and 50 business leaders from across the city.

DIB Managing Director Chris McKenna said:

“We were delighted to welcome Pam, John, and businesses from across the Northeast to our launch event at Innside Hotel.

“We will be looking to get to know the city and its movers and shakers over the next six-months, and we have a programme of Newcastle events in place for the remainder of the year.

“It is a city with a tremendous number of opportunities, and DIB wants to play its part in supporting Newcastle in its future progress and success.”
