Over 100 business and political leaders from across the Greater Manchester region attended a special Parliamentary Reception event in Westminster yesterday (Thursday 24 April 2025).
The event hosted by Downtown in Business, heard from the leader of the House of Commons and Manchester Central MP, Lucy Powell, the leader of Manchester City Council, Cllr Bev Craig, the chief executive of Best for Britain Naomi Smith, the chair of the Business and Trade Select Committee Liam Byrne MP, and the chief executive of Manchester City Council Tom Stannard.
The event took place at the stunning Terrace Pavilion at the House of Commons and focussed on the importance of cities as drivers of economic growth.
