On Tuesday 2nd December 2025, DIB hosted the final event of 2025, an exclusive Leaders Lunch with Nuala Gallagher, Corporate Director of City Development at Liverpool City Council. The event brought together leaders from across the region to explore Liverpool’s potential, its ambitions for future growth, and the opportunities that lie ahead for the city’s communities and economy.
Nuala shared her expert insights into the city’s development plans and highlighted how strategic initiatives can create lasting benefits for both residents and businesses. Her presentation sparked an engaging discussion among attendees about the future of Liverpool and the role that local leadership can play in shaping it.
We were also delighted to hear from Jonathan Falkingham MBE of Urban Splash, who provided an update on the exciting Festive Gardens development. Jonathan’s presentation offered a fascinating glimpse into one of Liverpool’s most innovative urban regeneration projects, and the opportunities it presents for the city’s economy and communities.
