Chief Sustainability and Communications Officer of Newcastle Airport to speak at DIB event

Downtown in Business will be joined by Chief Sustainability and Communications Officer at Newcastle International Airport, Graeme Mason, for an exclusive roundtable lunch on Tuesday 20th September at Banyan, Newcastle.

After our successful Down-Toon Launch at INNSiDE by Melia in May, we will return for our first Newcastle event of the autumn on Tuesday 20th September. We are delighted to be joined by Graeme Mason, Chief Sustainability and Communications Officer at Newcastle Airport for the exclusive lunch.

Graeme will be discussing the challenges the airport has faced over the past two years, how the industry has changed over his time at the airport, the role of the aviation industry has in achieving net zero, plus much more.

After starting his career in planning, Graeme joined the airport in 1993 and has since overseen the production of Newcastle’s first ever Masterplan and three subsequent reviews, as well as planning for all developments. Graeme also instigated an environmental strategy, and, after 11 years as Planning and Corporate Affairs Director, took on the role of Chief Sustainability and Communications Officer in January 2022.
