How Sciontec & Bruntwood SciTech’s collaboration could boost city investment!

Colin Sinclair, chief executive of Sciontec, says the company’s new collaboration with Bruntwood SciTech could help to boost investment in Liverpool.

The two firms have joined forces to drive marketing activity across their respective Liverpool properties, offering businesses access to a full range of workspace and laboratory space, from the city’s Commercial District to the Knowledge Quarter, all via a single enquiry point.

“We know that when business owners search for a new location to start, grow or diversify, they can be torn between a property’s quality, its location and the level of service or amenity that it offers. It can be even more challenging for new arrivals into a market as they try to find a physical space, but also their ‘place’ in a new landscape.

“Our new partnership with Bruntwood SciTech expands the options available to businesses, providing a wide range of available workspace and innovation space in the city’s most inspiring buildings, meaning customers now have the city at their fingertips.

“Sciontec’s portfolio includes Liverpool Science Park, Sciontec AI at The Spine, and the planned HEMISPHERE One and Two at Paddington Village, while Bruntwood SciTech, a joint venture between Bruntwood, Legal & General and Greater Manchester Pension Fund and the UK’s largest property platform dedicated to the growth of the science, tech and innovation sector, owns and operates The Plaza, Cotton Exchange and Cotton House in the city.

“The high level of amenity across these buildings, including fitness studios, cafes, bike stores and showers, flexible breakout spaces and contemplation rooms, continues to attract established organisations such as Weightmans, Maersk, the Manufacturing Technology Centre and the Royal College of Physicians, alongside ambitious younger businesses such as challenger bank Zempler, medical software developer MyCardium AI and education workforce platform SupplyWell.

“Businesses locating to any of our buildings in Liverpool will be connected into a large like-minded ecosystem of startups, scale ups and global names which spans into Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Cambridge. They also gain access to growth support such as access to highly skilled talent, funding and pitch preparation advice, and professional services partners.

“It should also benefit existing as well as new customers. If, for example, a business is headquartered in The Plaza, but wants to diversify into a lab or research space at Liverpool Science Park, they can now do that in a much more seamless way.

“A multi-channel promotional campaign is now underway, themed around iconic Liverpool music. The first iteration features the strapline All Together Now, taking inspiration from The Farm’s eponymous 1990 track, and includes a range of digital, print and display activations.

“Ultimately, we believe this more flexible, collaborative approach can help the city region to attract a wider range of high-calibre leads and occupiers, highlighting the clear strengths we have in a variety of sectors, from professional services to health and life sciences, and attracting a greater volume of new, larger investment deals.” Businesses wishing to enquire about office or laboratory space across Liverpool are encouraged to call 0151 705 3500 or visit www.sciontec.co.uk/locations.
