Downtown in Business has named leading corporate lawyer Julie Mogan as the chair of DIB Cheshire.
Julie is the Regional Director of the award winning, National law firm, Excello Law. She has established her reputation in advising Plcs, high growth companies, investors ,entrepreneurs and public bodies on corporate, commercial and strategic issues. She was awarded the Downtown in Business Legal Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2016 and also Legal Personality of the Year in 2022. Excello Law have also been awarded Downtown’s Legal firm of the year in both the Manchester and Liverpool City of Business Awards.
Before what she describes as the “best decision of her career “in joining Excello 8 years ago, Julie was Commercial Group Head in a large Cheshire Law firm (becoming their first female equity partner) then leading the startup and growth of another law firm in Chester and Liverpool for 6 years. Julie has sat on the board of two local Health Authorities, been board secretary to a PLC and is currently involved as a volunteer for two local charities. In 2011 Julie was appointed as the first female chair of the long established Chester Business Club,becoming their first female President in 2019 and now holds the honorary title of Vice President. In 2022 Julie was also invited to sit on the Executive Committee of Manchester Law Society.
