Downtown in Business will be hosting an exclusive round table dinner, where we will be joined by Melissa Caslake, interim Chief Executive Officer at Salford City Council and Nic Beech, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Salford.
Melissa Caslake is a highly respected leader in local government and children’s services, known for her commitment to improving public sector outcomes. With a career spanning several high-profile roles, she most recently served as Interim Chief Executive of Salford City Council, where she led the authority through a period of transition. Prior to that, she was Salford’s Executive Director of Children’s Services, overseeing major improvements that earned national recognition, including a ‘good’ OFSTED rating with ‘outstanding’ leadership.
Professor Nic Beech, previously Vice-Chancellor of Middlesex University, is the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Salford. He is Chair of the Quality Council for UK Higher Education, a Commissioner on the International Higher Education Commission, Treasurer and on the Board of both Universities UK and the Academy of Social Sciences and on the board of the QAA. His research focused on identity, diversity, change leadership and learning.
