Discussing the future of the Lancashire region

Over recent years, the Lancashire Region has found itself coming up against some significant challenges when it comes to growth, regeneration and development brought about by changes in priorities when it comes to regeneration projects and shifts in private and public sector spending.

No one knows this better than Director of Growth and Regeneration at Lancashire County Council, Simon Lawrence.

Throughout his career in local government, mainly for Lancashire County Council, he has worked across various projects and roles including Head of the Growth Unit and Major Programme where he lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the coordination of the council’s role in infrastructure delivery, supporting complex growth schemes across the county, working with council departments as well as key external stakeholders including district councils, Homes England and developers.

With the right approach and support, Downtown firmly believes that regeneration projects can bring significant growth and advantages to businesses, further fuelling the advancement of the Lancashire region.
