Downtown in Business in partnership with Starship, will bring together senior investors, developers, policymakers and industry leaders for a landmark briefing focused on the future of industrialised construction and large-scale regeneration, ahead of MIPIM 2026.
Taking place at Starship Wirral Waters headquarters on Thursday 5 March between 09:00 and 12:00 followed by an opportunity for a tour of Starship’s Wirral Waters Manufacturing Campus.
This exclusive event will spotlight major development opportunities across UK cities and explore how industrialised construction is a critical enabler of housing delivery, regeneration, and economic growth.
Starship will unveil a major UK-exclusive manufacturing partnership with a leading European materials producer, alongside strategic collaborations with global construction and building technology leaders, and major investment in cutting-edge automation. If that’s not exciting enough there will be a further announcement on Starship’s first overseas expansion in North America.
The event will include discussions on removing barriers to accelerate delivery, and on how industrialised construction can help supercharge housing and infrastructure delivery while supporting the creation of a next-generation construction workforce, combining manufacturing, digital skills and modern methods of delivery.
We will be joined by guests from public and private sectors with speakers including Leader of Liverpool City Council and Liverpool City Region Combined Authority Cabinet Member for Innovation Cllr Liam Robinson and Homes England’s Catherine Holmes
Dave Dargan CEO of Starship, said:
“Industrialised construction is not a theory or a future ambition, it is how we are delivering homes, neighbourhoods and regeneration today. This event is about setting out a clear, credible vision for how the sector can scale, attract investment, and create places of real quality. With major partnership announcements and our international expansion, it marks the start of a series of conversations that will continue at MIPIM and throughout the year.”
Frank Mckenna, Chief Executive and Group Chair of Downtown In Business added:
“Expect senior-level insight, commercial intelligence, and meaningful connections, from regeneration and infrastructure to inward investment, smart cities, and future-focused property strategies.”
“Whether you are attending MIPIM or looking to capitalise on the investment momentum it creates, this event is designed to highlight opportunities for business, regeneration, and economic growth.”
