While the rest of the country is celebrating the Queen’s 70 year reign this weekend Red Door will also be celebrating the scouse queens.

The popular bar on Berry Street are hosting a Jubilee party with a difference this weekend and with temperatures set to reach 19-20 degrees everything is in place to make sure guests  can enjoy an alternative party with a with a nod and a wink to the forthcoming national celebrations.

Red Door are inviting Liverpool’s drag artists to join the celebrations and those in costume will receive a complimentary Candy Girl cocktail to celebrate the splendour of our local Queen’s.

With a full schedule of live music and  entertainment planned for the three days and bottles of Prosecco for £20 until 10pm  the scene is set to make the most of the extra bank holiday and the sunshine at Liverpool’s most popular bar.

On Thursday guests will be able to enjoy a DJ and a live singer, whilst Friday has a live Drag act from 6-8pm, followed by Reuben Valentine and Dom Dunn 12-4am.  Dom’s set will be accompanied with a saxophonist to keep the party going.  Upstairs in Eden, DJ Riley will be entertaining guests from 10am-4am.

On Saturday, the party starts with live music from 6-8pm, followed by Liam Murphy taking over the decks until midnight.  From midnight Reuben and Sammy Valentine will raise the roof with DJ and bongos, with burlesque dancers live on stage.  DJ Riley will once again be keeping the party going upstairs on the Eden terrace.

Whilst the country celebrates, Red Door are determined to make sure that local good causes are not forgotten during the festivities and have committed to donating £1 from every Candy Girl cocktail sold over the weekend to the South Liverpool Food Bank.

Operations Director, Matthew Laughton, said “When your local teams colours are red, white and blue, Red Door shows it’s patriotic side all year round.  This Jubilee we wanted our celebrations to be fun and inclusive and we wanted to also acknowledge those

In our society who could do with a hand during these difficult times.  We hope the sales of our Candy Girl cocktails will help us to assist the South Liverpool Food Bank who do such amazing work with some of society’s most desperate people”.

So whether you are celebrating the 70 year reign of the Monarch, or your teams efforts this season, or simply want to make the most of the extra bank holiday, Red Door have made the plans for you to make memories this weekend.
