The team at The Flower Bowl Entertainment Centre in Brock, Preston is celebrating after winning the prestigious Lancashire Tourism Award for Best Visitor Attraction of the Year 2022.
It was awarded the title at a glitzy awards ceremony hosted by Britain’s Got Talent finalist and panto veteran Steve Royle at Blackpool Winter Gardens on Tuesday night.
With the North of England’s only full-sized curling rink, a boutique cinema, mini golf course and ten pin bowling alley, The Flower Bowl is a unique venue designed for all ages to enjoy. The vibrant centre also offers a choice of five different food and drink options including Blooms Restaurant, The Ocean and Barbossa bar.
The Flower Bowl’s manager Emily Topping says: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have won this coveted award. Throughout the recent challenging times, we’ve worked really hard to develop and strengthen our offering.
“We’re always looking for new and innovative ways to improve the experience of every visitor who walks through our doors. This award is a fantastic accolade and a great boost for the whole team.”
The Flower Bowl recently launched a new game called Shuffleboard on Ice. This is a faster version of curling played on a shorter course where players aim to slide their stones into the smallest zone.
Last year, the centre opened a cool new ice cream parlour Knickerbockers which serves up delicious Italian ice creams and frothy milkshakes.
It also offers visitors the chance to try crazy pool, a golf simulator and VR jungle ride.
As the winner of the Visitor Attraction of the Year Award category for 2022, The Flower Bowl will now be entered into the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2023.
