Business leaders review MIPIM 2022 at DIB event

Downtown in Business, in association with the Liverpool Place Partnership, were delighted to host a breakfast forum this week which invited delegates to share their feedback and experiences from MIPIM and bring together ideas on how to keep the momentum going for the Place Partnership.

The Liverpool City Region took a strong delegation to Cannes in March for the MIPIM real estate and property exhibition and conference. Downtown in Business, in association with the Liverpool Place Partnership, were delighted to host a breakfast forum this week which invited delegates to share their feedback and experiences from MIPIM and bring together ideas on how to keep the momentum going for the Place Partnership.

Downtown CEO, Frank McKenna and Chair of the Liverpool Place Partnership, Stephen Cowperthwaite opened the collaborative discussion. Topics of discussion included the need for the Place Partnership to focus on its 12 month trajectory, rather than solely focusing on the one week event in Cannes, how Liverpool successfully champions its attributes and stands out in comparison to other UK cities and the importance of being able to be back in human contact rather than virtual.

With the UKREiiF conference coming up in Leeds in May, it was highlighted that there should also be a focus on collaborating with other UK cities, particularly across the north, rather than competing with them.

We would like to thank the Liverpool Place Partnership for partnering with us for the event and thank you to the Hilton Liverpool for their exceptional hospitality.
