New partnership to sell Liverpool to the world

Liverpool BID Company has announced an agreement with Liverpool Place Partnership, as the city looks to attract investment and promote opportunity within the city regionally, nationally and internationally.

Liverpool BID Company has announced an agreement with Liverpool Place Partnership, as the city looks to attract investment and promote opportunity within the city regionally, nationally and internationally.

Liverpool Place Partnership is a private sector led programme working to advance investment and foster support across Liverpool’s business community to make the city region an attractive place to invest. At events including London Real Estate Forum, MIPIM Cannes, UK REIFF Leeds and Real Estate Live, the programme aims to create conditions for the private sector to thrive, support networking and showcase the city region as  a place to invest.

For Liverpool BID Company, a private, not for profit organisation representing the interests of 1,000 levy payers in Liverpool city centre, the partnership provides an opportunity to share the strategic planning taking place across the city centre to improve it as a place to live, work and invest.

Bill Addy is CEO of Liverpool BID Company,

“For almost two decades, Liverpool BID Company has worked at the heart of Liverpool city centre as the voice of business and working to promote the city, along with our partners as  a place to do business. There is a real responsibility in that, because we know that the business we attract to the city has to have the same ambitions we do, to be as invested in Liverpool’s future and prosperity.

We know that the public purse is facing challenging times, yet we do not want the city to fall behind. The private sector has a powerful role to play in showcasing Liverpool on the global stage. Indeed, as Eurovision arrives in 2023 we will have an incredible opportunity to showcase the city, from its stunning and world famous waterfront, to its historic architecture and character, to modern and striking development. I am excited for what the future holds for Liverpool and sharing our story, and the story of the businesses we represent across the world”.

Stephen Cowperthwaite is Chair of the Liverpool Place Partnership

“We are delighted to form a strategic partnership with Liverpool BID Company building on their ongoing support for the Liverpool Place Partnership.  As the BID celebrates its new accommodation remit, its role in shaping place is more important than ever. We look forward to working closely with the Liverpool BID team and its levy payers as the city businesses play a vital role in supporting place making and investment that will benefit not just the city but also the wider city region.”
