Liverpool IT specialist Halcyon is seeing its momentum from 2024 carry on into 2025 with a trio of new client wins. Tony McDonough reports
Liverpool IT specialist Halcyon is off to a flying start in 2025 with three new client wins.
Based out of Mann Island, close to the city’s waterfront, Halcyon already has more than 120 clients across multiple business sectors. In October, LBN reported it was close to the £1m-a-year revenue milestone.
Now founder and managing director James Hamilton has revealed three companies have now joined its growing client roster. They are lobbying and networking group, Downtown in Business, accountancy firm LJS and property finance firm The Harrogate Group.
Halcyon has also renewed its membership of Downtown as it looks to take advantage of the group’s powerful business network, which extends across the UK.
Its latest contract with Downtown will see it become the organisation’s technology partner. Services will include asset procurement, cyber security, IT Support, telephony, internet and web hosting.
LJS operates across three offices in Liverpool, Wirral and St Helens. It will provide identical services that it will to Downtown and James said he sees the potential to really improve the firm’s operations.
“When we looked closely at LJS’s IT provision we immediately saw areas where we could make significant improvements and really fire up their network performance,” he explained.
Wirral-based Harrogate Group, whose managing director Sue Wright is one of Liverpool city region’s best known businesswomen, has brought in Halcyon to take advantage of its 5G infrastructure amid a new office move. It will also provide IT support, cyber security and web hosting.
James added: “It is always good to win new clients and we are particularly pleased as these are three businesses with great reputations. They have important work to do and they need an IT provider that can provide a smooth, reliable service and minimum fuss.
“We have a good spread of clients with turnovers ranging from £500,000 to £28m. We are really starting to grow our footprint. We are looking beyond the North West of England and establishing a client base in Dubai where we see huge growth potential.
“I’m really pleased to cement our relationship with Downtown and its chief executive Frank McKenna. Frank has built a fantastic network that extends not just across Liverpool city region but to other UK locations and to powerbrokers in Westminster.
“And now we have them on board as a client, I can’t wait to help them maximise those opportunities by really turbocharging their digital performance.”
