Today, the formal announcement of a new UK partnership between Starship Group and Vandersanden was made, marking Vandersanden’s first collaboration of this kind in the UK.

Today, the formal announcement of a new UK partnership between Starship Group and Vandersanden was made, marking Vandersanden’s first collaboration of this kind in the UK.

Over the past 12 months, the two organisations have worked closely to build a partnership focused not just on intent, but on delivery, shared innovation, and a joint ambition to help shape the future of construction.

A key theme throughout the launch was the shared DNA between Starship and Vandersanden. Both organisations are committed to leading from the front, doing things differently, and driving innovation that delivers real change. Their willingness to challenge traditional approaches and improve how homes and social infrastructure are delivered is central to the strength of this collaboration.

The partnership has already seen the integration of Vandersanden’s ManuBrick® and RoboBrick® technologies into Starship’s platform, aligning design, manufacturing, and façade systems to create solutions that work in practice and at scale.

This is now being brought to life, with two projects already underway, marking the first time this approach has been delivered in the UK.

More than 100 industry leaders attended the launch, including representatives from local, regional, and central government, alongside key housing partners and professional advisors, highlighting the significance of the partnership and the innovation it represents.

Downtown in Business was delighted to welcome Cllr Liam Robinson, Leader of Liverpool City Council, and Catherine Holmes of Homes England, who joined the event alongside a wide range of stakeholders from across the sector.

Dave Dargan, CEO of Starship Group, said:

“This partnership is a significant step forward, not just for Starship, but for how we move the dial on housing delivery in the UK. Over the last year, we’ve worked closely with Vandersanden to turn ideas into something tangible, and we’re already seeing that come through in live projects. What’s made it work is the shared DNA, a willingness to challenge the status quo and take a different approach where it matters. If we want better outcomes, we have to be prepared to do things differently. They are a fantastic team to work with.”

Downtown in Business looks forward to continuing to support and showcase collaborations like this that are driving meaningful change across the built environment sector
