This September, Kimpton Clocktower Hotel and We Built This City will join forces with Manchester musician, broadcaster and DJ Clint Boon to celebrate the launch of his new book, The Manchester Chronicles: True Tales of Music, Madness and Mayhem 1976–2006.
Guests and a plus one are invited to an exclusive evening at The Vault at Kimpton Clocktower Hotel on Wednesday 30 September, featuring a live recording of the award-winning We Built This City podcast.
Hosted by Lisa Morton, the live episode will see Clint Boon reflect on three decades of Manchester’s music scene, exploring the people, places and stories that helped shape the city and its unique musical identity.
The Manchester Chronicles takes readers from the early days of punk through the indie and psychedelic scenes of the 1980s, the rise of Madchester, rave and Britpop, offering a personal insight into the music, mayhem and moments that defined Manchester between 1976 and 2006.
The evening will be an opportunity to hear stories from Clint’s remarkable journey, enjoy drinks and good company, and celebrate the city that has inspired generations of musicians and music lovers. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase a copy of The Manchester Chronicles on the night.
