And The Winners Are…

Argent LLP, Tim Andrews from Hollywood Monster, and Rebecca Simkiss were just some of the big winners at the second annual City of Birmingham Business Awards hosted by Downtown in Business.

Downtown in Business hosted the inaugural COBBA awards gala dinner in 2017 at the fantastic Edgbaston Stadium. After the incredible reception from the Birmingham guests, it was no wonder that 2018’s awards dinner was not only a sell-out, but an evening no Brummie will forget.

With 22 awards going out to the cities biggest businesses and leading business personalities, Downtown’s Frank McKenna said; “ Birmingham is absolutely booming at the moment and that, in no small part, is due to the contribution businesses from the city have made to the economic growth of the Midlands Engine. All those who were nominated for a COBBA deserve to be congratulated, but a special mention for the winners. To be successful in a field of so many talented businesses and individuals really is a huge achievement.”.

Matt Barnsley, Business Development Manager for Downtown commented, “The business scene in Birmingham is highly competitive, it takes real grit and determination to make it work in this city. I am proud that Downtown has recognised those organisations and individuals who are making it happen. Congratulations to all the nominees and an even bigger congrats to all the winners”.

The Awards was sponsored by Virgin Media Business, the Intelligent Strategic Partnership, and SME Global.

Thank you to Nuvo Bar for hosting an unforgettable after party.
