Which leading businesses do you think deserves a City of Liverpool Business Award? Nominating for #COLBA22 is now open.

The City of Liverpool Business Awards was established by Downtown way back in 2004 to acknowledge and celebrate companies and entrepreneurs that have made a successful and significant contribution to economic growth in the city region.

Winners at COLBA21 included The Davies Partnership, who won the Business of the Year Award, entrepreneurial duo Charlotte Donoghue & Steph Porter from Say It With Diamonds, who took the Women of the Year prize, and Lu Bans David Critchley, who won Business Hero of the Year.

Faye Dyer of the ACC Arena was handed the Chairman’s Awards, whilst Downtown boss Frank McKenna handed his chief executives award to Sean Keyes, Managing Director of Sutcliffe.

Starship constructs the first zero bills modular house in the north of England on Liverpool Waterfront

Specialist low carbon developers and leaders in zero-carbon prefabricated housing, Starship have built a low-energy, zero-carbon, two-storey modular house on the iconic Liverpool waterfront. The zero-bills home is part of Starship’s wider partnership with Octopus Energy and is the first of its kind in the North of England – it will serve as a focal point for the Housing Community Summit this week and will stay in situ through to the three-day Labour Party Conference.
