Downtown in Business will host a series of events in Quarter 2 of 2025 focussing on economic growth and how England’s regions can contribute to the government’s growth mission.
Best for Britain, the Liverpool – Manchester Rail Group, the Tony Blair Institute, and the West Midlands Growth Company will be among the organisations who will contribute to debates across the country about how a re-set in trading relations with the EU, infrastructure improvements, AI, and inward investment can support Rachel Reeves in her ambition to deliver economic growth.
DIB chief executive and Group chairman Frank McKenna said:
“I think many in the business community have been disappointed with the governments start, and we need to begin to see some genuine initiatives that can help that growth agenda Labour keeps talking about.
“Over the next three months, DIB will be bringing together opinion formers from across the UK to engage with our members about some of the things that could be done to improve the UKs economic performance.”
The events programme includes two parliamentary receptions, the Northern Power Town conference, and fringe meeting at property festival UKREiiF.
