B&M Waste Supports The Lily Mae Foundation with Memory Box Donation

Birmingham waste management provider, B&M Waste Services, are continuing to support local charity, The Lily Mae Foundation, through a donation of £4000. The charity supports parents and families after a stillbirth or neonatal death and the donation will be used to fund the production of 52 memory boxes; beautiful collections of items and mementos for families to look back on and remember their child by.

Amy Jackson, founder of The Lily Mae Foundation, explains; “Since April 2013, we have provided 700 memory boxes. These memory boxes provide much needed support for bereaved parents. They allow the parents to collect memories and precious items and store them. As a parent, you want to protect your child; when you lose a child, you want and need to protect their memory.”

David Curtis, a Director at B&M Waste, said; “We’re so pleased to be able to support such a wonderful cause. Whilst we can’t imagine how difficult it must be for parents and families in this tragic situation, we hope these beautiful memory boxes offer some much needed comfort.”
