Fazenda to bring authentic Brazilian dining to Birmingham

Birmingham city centre is set to welcome a brand-new dining experience, as Fazenda prepares to open in the Colmore district this winter.

The premium Brazilian restaurant prides itself on the highest quality of meats, with the Fazenda passadores offering continuous tableside service, carving guests a wide range of beef cuts, pork, lamb and chicken.

As well as a first-rate meat selection, the rodizio restaurant offers a broad selection of fish, vegetarian and vegan dishes, including salmon soaked in whisky and vegan Feijoada – a traditional stew from Brazilian origin. Guests can also enjoy the gourmet sides bar which features fresh cut vegetables, cured meats and delicacies from South America.

Independent restaurant group, City District Ltd, has handpicked the 10,000 sq ft site at the corner of Church Street and Barwick Street as the home for its fifth restaurant, and its first south of Manchester.

Fazenda was founded by South American natives Tomas Maunier and Robert Melman in 2010, and it has since expanded from the original Leeds restaurant to Liverpool, Manchester and Edinburgh, and now Birmingham with the new 200 cover venue. Fazenda Birmingham will also have a 50 seater bar, two intimate dining rooms and a private hire dining and events space.

Commenting on the Birmingham launch, Tomas said: “Fazenda offers a true taste of Brazil. We are passionate about our roots and traditions, and combining these with the highest quality food and our extensive wine list really creates a unique experience for our guests.

“The pedigree of restaurants in Birmingham right now demonstrates what an amazing and diverse appetite the people of the city have, and we look forward to adding to the strength of the culinary offer when we open our doors this winter.”
