Invest in Lancashire Guide launched on Lancashire Day

The Lancashire Enterprise Partnership (LEP) showcased the range of high-quality development opportunities in the county to an audience of property investors and businesses at an event in London.

The Lancashire Enterprise Partnership (LEP) showcased the range of high-quality development opportunities in the county to an audience of property investors and businesses at an event in London on Wednesday 27 November, to mark Lancashire Day.

The LEP held the VIP event at The Guild of Fine Food in the heart of the City to launch its first-ever Invest in Lancashire Guide, which targets an audience of businesspeople, entrepreneurs and property developers in London and the South East.

The guide illustrates what it means ‘to live, work, play and think in the greatest county in the North’.

LEP Deputy Chair David Taylor, said: “We are very excited to be launching the Invest in Lancashire Guide and taking our message that Lancashire is the place for growth to London-based investors.

“The guide highlights some of Lancashire’s specific assets and opportunities, at the heart of the Northern Powerhouse.

“We are the second largest economy in the North West, with over 52,000 businesses generating £30bn a year.

“Lancashire is a recognised world-leader in aerospace, advanced engineering and manufacturing and energy. We are the home of some of the world’s leading companies and we are also recognised for our excellent universities.

“There are internationally significant opportunities for investment here, such as our four Enterprise Zones which combine into one overarching investment destination, the Lancashire Advanced Manufacturing and Energy Cluster.

“The LEP’s strategic £1bn investment plan is creating jobs, homes and the infrastructure needed to transform the economy.

“We are two hours from London by train, with excellent connections to the rest of the UK, and Lancashire offers an excellent quality of life.

“We have a fantastic story to tell that appeals to investors in both the UK and internationally.”
