DIB Manchester Parliamentary Reception | Wednesday 3rd March 2027 | Westminster, London
Manchester’s ambitions will take centre stage in Westminster as Downtown in Business, in partnership with Manchester City Council, brings together the city’s new leadership, government ministers and senior business leaders for its Manchester Parliamentary Reception.
Taking place on Wednesday 3rd March, the reception will hear from Manchester City Council leader Cllr Garry Bridges and chief executive Tom Stannard, alongside ministerial and business speakers, on the opportunities to build on the city’s momentum and drive its next phase of growth.
With MIPIM just two weeks away from this event, guests will get an early insight into Manchester’s investment priorities, regeneration ambitions and pitch to the international property market. The reception will also explore how the next chapter of devolution can give the city greater power to deliver its plans, and what that means for business.
Frank McKenna, group chair and chief executive of Downtown in Business, said:
“Manchester has never been short of ambition, and the real interest now is in what comes next. With new political leadership, a fresh devolution agenda and major opportunities for investment, this is a timely moment to bring the city’s story to Westminster.
“We want business leaders to hear directly from the people shaping Manchester’s future, understand where the opportunities lie and build the relationships that help turn plans into progress. If Manchester is part of your business’s growth plans, this is a room you should be in.”
The reception will offer a valuable opportunity to connect with senior Manchester leaders, investors and businesses ahead of a major moment in the city’s international investment calendar.
