Following its successful launch in March, The Watering Can’s Afternoon Tea has firmly established itself as one of the venue’s most popular experiences, attracting guests from across the Liverpool City Region to enjoy handcrafted food, homemade bakes and the picturesque surroundings of Greenbank Park.
Throughout August, guests booking Afternoon Tea can choose to add either a refreshing glass of Pimm’s or a chilled glass of fizz for just £6, creating the perfect accompaniment to a leisurely afternoon with family and friends in one of Liverpool’s most idyllic park settings.
Priced at £27 per person, The Watering Can’s Afternoon Tea celebrates handcrafted baking and classic British favourites. Guests can enjoy a trio of beautifully prepared savoury bites, including honey-glazed Lancashire ham, extra mature Cheddar cheese and tomato chutney served on an all-butter mini croissant, free-range egg mayonnaise and watercress on a soft golden brioche bun, and cold-smoked Atlantic salmon with fresh dill and zesty lemon cream cheese on artisan sourdough.
The experience is completed with a warm homemade sultana scone served with Champagne strawberry jam and clotted cream, together with a delicious selection of freshly baked homemade sweet treats, all accompanied by a pot of Shi-Bui English Breakfast Tea or an Americano from Crosby Coffee. Every Afternoon Tea is freshly prepared using artisan breads, pastries and handcrafted bakes from Frankley’s Bakery, The Watering Can’s own in-house bakery, ensuring every booking reflects the quality and attention to detail for which the venue has become renowned.
