Driven, based in Wigan, uses volunteer drivers in their own Driven cars to provide affordable accessible transport for lonely and isolated individuals. Driven provide a door to door service, wait with them at appointments or help them to do some shopping, to help reduce anxiety and prevent social isolation. During this current period of self-isolation and lockdown, Drive want to offer their fleet of vehicles for free to foodbanks and community groups needing to collect food from supermarkets and take the produce to food banks across the borough.

Mentell, based in Stockportprovides safe and confidential spaces for men experiencing mental or emotional discomfort a place to talk, free from judgment. The group has grown to support around 500 men and work with local pubs, businesses and libraries to promote their campaign. They hope to give Mentell a digital transformation required to provide a service online during lockdown and social isolation. Moving to online sessions is important because men who are mentally and emotionally distressed before the COVID-19 crisis and even more isolated and at risk. Using Zoom sessions, they will run weekly meetings and expect 100 users attend.

BreathChamps, based in Sale, supports children and young adults with asthma and the parents, carers, neighbours and communities that support them. They offer subsidised and free activities to children, families and communities, such as puppet show to teach about the importance of an inhaler and how to recognise an attack. Their Covid-19 response project will enable them to continue their valuable services via live broadcasts on social media and generally advice and support families to help reduce anxiety in these difficult times.
