An update from Steven Hunt & Associates

M&E Engineering Consultancy, Steven Hunt & Associates, has now returned safely to work in their offices in Liverpool.

Following guidance from the Government allowing people to return to work safely and socially distanced from 1st August, M&E Engineering Consultancy, Steven Hunt & Associates, has now returned safely to work in their offices in Liverpool.

It has been a challenging time for the industry with more inevitable obstacles ahead, but for now, it is business as usual for SHA and the team are looking forward to getting started on the projects they have been appointed on during the lock down. This includes a £5M refurbishment of an existing building at Aintree University Hospital to become a 70-bed ward which is being future proofed as an isolation facility in the case of another pandemic; a £5M Extra Care Facility with 58 apartments in Liverpool for housing association, Colbalt Housing; and a refurbishment at The Christie NHS Hospital worth £3M, which will see the redesign of a number of wards and theaters to become operational to deal with the backlog procedures put on hold due to the Coronavirus lock down.

Steve Hunt, Managing Director & Founder of Steven Hunt & Associates said:

“Working from home bought many challenges; from desks and offices made from kitchen tables and spare rooms to balancing home schooling and work deadlines. However, the team worked hard and showed resilience during the lockdown and we have ridden the storm. We know it is not over yet but the projects we have recently won mean we move forward with caution but with optimism.”

Established over 30 years ago, Steven Hunt and Associates work in a range of sectors including, but not limited to, healthcare, residential and education. The firm has recently completed schemes in the Knowledge Quarter and Baltic Triangle in Liverpool, Royal Bolton Hospital, North Manchester General Hospital, The University of Liverpool, and Liverpool John Moores University.
