A re-print of alert cards – a credit card sized card given to all patients commencing chemotherapy treatment at Rosemere Cancer Centre – is being funded by charity Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
Charity began at home for the fundraising team working for Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Charity, when it got together to pack and deliver 4,000 welfare packs containing donated items valued at around £85,000 to frontline clinical staff at the Royal Preston and Chorley and South Ribble Hospitals.
A cupcake company, which has its manufacturing plant in North Wales, is sending a cwtch – Welsh for cuddle – to NHS frontline staff in Preston through a delivery of 6,000 free cupcakes for them to enjoy at break-time.
