CEO of Liverpool Knowledge Quarter to lead DIB’s ‘What’s Next for Liverpool’s Knowledge Quarter?’ Event

The CEO of Knowledge Quarter Liverpool (KQ Liverpool), Colin Sinclair will be speaking at DIB's upcoming event "What’s Next for Liverpool’s Knowledge Quarter?".

Downtown in Business is excited to announce that Colin Sinclair, CEO of Knowledge Quarter Liverpool (KQ Liverpool), will be speaking at our upcoming event “What’s Next for Liverpool’s Knowledge Quarter?”.

Set to take place on Tuesday 3rd September this roundtable Lunch event promises an insightful discussion on the future of one of Liverpool’s most ambitious and transformative projects.

Colin Sinclair, a seasoned professional in the property industry, has been instrumental in shaping Liverpool’s urban landscape through his leadership at KQ Liverpool and its spin-out development company, Sciontec.

With extensive experience in investment, development and regeneration, Colin has been part of initiatives that have positioned Liverpool as a global hub for innovation in health, science, and technology. His role as CEO of KQ Liverpool includes overseeing significant projects like the £1 billion Paddington Village Development and The Spine, one of the world’s healthiest buildings.

Before his tenure at KQ Liverpool, Colin had a diverse career that began in the music industry, managing bands and owning nightclubs in Manchester. He later transitioned into property and development, where he served as CEO of Manchester’s investment agency (MIDAS) and a main board director at Bruntwood, a property developer known for its work in science parks and creative workspaces. Colin’s experience in both the creative and business sectors has given him a unique perspective on place-making and innovation.

In 2018, Colin took on the additional role of CEO at Sciontec Developments Limited. Sciontec is focused on developing and operating world-class science and technology buildings, including the Liverpool Science Park and the upcoming HEMISPHERE, Liverpool’s first operational net zero carbon office building. Colin’s vision for Sciontec is to create environments that foster innovation and help commercialise research, contributing to the city’s economic growth.

This event will offer a deep dive into the future of Liverpool’s Knowledge Quarter, exploring how it can continue to thrive as a centre of excellence in science, technology, and education. Colin’s extensive experience and leadership in these areas make him the perfect speaker to discuss the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for this dynamic district.

Don’t miss this opportunity to gain valuable insights from one of the leading figures in Liverpool’s ongoing transformation.
