Everton Vision: Everton’s New Stadium – The Fourth Grace of Liverpool

The event discussed the potential new benefits the stadium could bring to North Liverpool and the surrounding area.

On Wednesday, 19 March 2025, Downtown in Business hosted a special event at Everton FC HQ, with Everton Interim CEO, Colin Chong and Tom Higgins from Laing O’Rourke the contractors behind Everton’s new Bramley Moore Stadium.

The event, sponsored by Liverpool BID Company, discussed the potential new benefits the stadium could bring to North Liverpool and the surrounding area. Described as ‘The Fourth Grace of Liverpool’ this stunning waterfront development isn’t just a game-changer for football; it’s a catalyst for economic growth, tourism, and community spirit.

The event also discussed how as fans make their way to the stadium, the local economy will reap the benefits. With over 60% of Everton supporters residing close to Goodison Park, many will opt to walk to matches, boosting footfall for nearby bars, pubs, and businesses along the way. The opportunities for future developments are there and Everton in cooperation with Liverpool city council and others will continue to look at how they can help to regenerate the area around Bramley Moore Dock.

Transport was also discussed at the event with all parties looking at ways to ensure that links to the stadium are available, not just for Everton FC matches each season, but also for the numerous potential events that could be held at the stadium on non-match days.

With 30,000 season ticket holders transitioning from Goodison Park, hospitality already sold out, and an astonishing 38,000 fans on the waiting list. The demand is sky-high, reinforcing the importance of ensuring transport links and developing the surrounding area are top of the agenda for all concerned.

Downtown CEO, Frank McKenna commented: “I would like to thanks Everton FC for hosting todays event and to Colin & Tom for sharing their thoughts on the stadium and how it can help to revitalise the North Liverpool area. I’d also like to thank Liverpool BID Company for sponsoring this event.

“I hope everyone who attended today event enjoyed finding out more about this fantastic development. This new stadium isn’t just another venue; it’s a symbol of ambition, progress, and pride for Liverpool.”
