Leading air-conditioning and ventilation specialist, Everkool, has partnered up with the University of Liverpool in a bid to reduce the company’s carbon emissions and create a more efficient product line for their customers.

The Bootle-based company provides HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning) to a variety of big businesses within the region including St John’s Shopping Centre, Epic Hotels, Iliad and Merseytravel.

The research partnership will form part of Everkool’s wider strategic development and future growth plans to help businesses become more energy efficient through the use of alternative energy resources.

The company plans for greater investment into ground source and air source heat pumps which are believed to be revolutionary technology, providing long-term benefits to companies within the Liverpool City Region.

Craig Greenwood, Everkool CEO, said:

“We are extremely proud to have partnered with the University of Liverpool, a world-leading institution, to advise us on our future green energy plans.

“Their research has been invaluable to us in guiding our strategy going forward. The air-conditioning and ventilation industry is ever changing and new technologies are often breaking through.

“This is very important to us. As companies across the board look to reduce carbon emissions and look to find alternative energy sources, this partnership

will be of significant benefit to us as we look to help companies fulfill this objective.”

Rob Capleton, University of Liverpool Industrial Relations Manager, said:

“We reached out to Everkool as part of our initiative to help industry leading businesses within the Liverpool City Region reduce their carbon emissions. The research for Everkool will better equip the company with the knowledge of new emerging technology, enabling them to make more informed strategic decisions as they look to improve the carbon footprint of businesses throughout the region.  “Everkool is a fantastic organisation with a forward thinking outlook in their adoption of new technology. We hope this partnership will enable the further growth and development of Everkool particularly in the realm of helping businesses become more energy efficient.”
