Bold Street is not short of lively venues, even more so now it has welcomed the city’s latest food and drink venue, Cheers Big Ears.

Located in the former premises of the Crafty Chandler, Cheers Big Ears brings an exciting interactive sports concept across the venue.

With the venue’s first floor playing host to ‘Tops Dart Bar’, an interactive games area with state-of-the-art digital games, the site is set to be a popular addition to the city.

This is the latest venue to open in the city, from the biggest local independent operator Pub Invest Group. There will be over 50 new jobs from part-time to full time created here.

£76m spent in Liverpool’s food and drink in Q1

Next week Liverpool Restaurant Week begins. Running from 22-28 April over 75 venues are taking part with hundreds of offers for people to download and enjoy. 

The value of the sector to the city centre economy is laid bare in data from Liverpool BID Company (and platform Beauclair) which analyses UK spend data. 

Food and Drink is now the largest economic sector in the city centre, around 37%. UK card holders spent a whopping £76m in just three months in the city centre’s restaurants and bars.
