Downtown in Business, in association with the Liverpool BID Company, welcomed the daughter and granddaughter of Nelson Mandela to a special event at Hope Street Hotel earlier this week.

Downtown in Business, in association with the Liverpool BID Company, welcomed the daughter and granddaughter of Nelson Mandela to a special event at Hope Street Hotel earlier this week.

The discussion, led by Maki Mandela and Tukwini Mandela, focused on the work of the Mandela8 Foundation undertakes in the city, and they are encouraging business leaders from across Liverpool to get actively involved in the charity’s recently launched Roots & Wings project, which is targeted at young people who lack positive role models and are at risk of criminal exploitation or are experiencing violent crime or fear of violent crime daily. LIVERPOOL’S NEWEST IRISH SPORTS BAR DICEY REILLYS SET FOR DERBY DAY DEBUT

Liverpool’s newest and most stylish  Irish sports bar Dicey Reillys on Wolstenholme Square has opened just in time for it’s Derby Day debut next Wednesday.
The venue will show a full schedule of sport including football, rugby, Gaelic football and hurling, golf, racing, boxing and F1.  Opening Monday-Thursday from 3pm until 11pm, Friday and Saturday from 12.00pm to 11.45pm, and Sundays from midday until 11pm.
