DIB Kicks off 2025 with Liverpool Property Club

Downtown in Business Liverpool hosted the first Property Club Event of the year on Thursday January 16th, with Stephen Young as keynote speaker.

On Thursday, January 16th  2025, Downtown in Business Liverpool hosted the first Property Club Event of the year. We were lucky enough to be joined by Jo Henney, the CEO of Nugent, as well as Simon Krol, the director at Krol Corlett.

The keynote speaker at this event was the Chief Executive of Halton Borough Council, Stephen Young.

Stephen discussed how Halton being on the border of both Cheshire and Merseyside brings about an interesting discussion over their future. They are currently members of Liverpool City Region, but given recent discussions of Cheshire possibly getting their own devolution deal there have been suggestions of a change to this setup.

Other topics discussed included sustainability, Stephen’s pans for the future of Halton and the wider region, and the current challenges local authorities face. He also offered optimism for rest of 2025 for the local region.

A big thank you to everyone who contributed to making this event a success. We had an engaging discussion, and everyone’s input was invaluable.

A special thanks to Nugent and Krol Corlett for sponsoring the event, and to our wonderful hosts, Fazenda.
