Powering Growth Beyond the Pitch

With the city set to host the UEFA EURO 2028, it will look at the role sporting events and infrastructure have in shaping cities, strengthening international relationships, attracting investment and driving regeneration, using Liverpool’s two global football clubs as living examples.

Hosted by Downtown in Business, this conference will explore how sport can be a catalyst for economic and social growth; The role of business as the 12th man; and how the collective power of business supports and drives prosperity for people and places.

With the city set to host the UEFA EURO 2028, it will look at the role sporting events and infrastructure have in shaping cities, strengthening international relationships, attracting investment and driving regeneration, using Liverpool’s two global football clubs as living examples.

The session will also focus on the value of UK-EU co-operation through sport, to enhance trade and business opportunities and create thriving places and will be attended by European Ambassadors, business leaders, business owners and SMEs from Liverpool and beyond.
