5 week countdown to DIB’s national property, planning and regeneration conference

The Mayors of Greater Manchester & West Yorkshire are the latest speakers to be announced for the Talking 'Bout Regeneration conference 2024.

Downtown in Business are delighted to announce its final two speakers to an already eclectic mix of high profile guests from both the public and private sector for their annual national planning, property and regeneration conference hosted on Thursday 8th February at The Lowry Hotel, Salford.

Andy Burnham, Mayor for Greater Manchester will join Downtown on Wednesday 7th February at a event in association with Causeway Technologies. This exclusive dinner will be attended by industry leaders from across the UK to discuss Causeway’s recently launched campaign around mental health and well being amongst onsite construction workers.

£76m spent in Liverpool’s food and drink in Q1

Next week Liverpool Restaurant Week begins. Running from 22-28 April over 75 venues are taking part with hundreds of offers for people to download and enjoy. 

The value of the sector to the city centre economy is laid bare in data from Liverpool BID Company (and platform Beauclair) which analyses UK spend data. 

Food and Drink is now the largest economic sector in the city centre, around 37%. UK card holders spent a whopping £76m in just three months in the city centre’s restaurants and bars.
