Everton in the Community have just launched their latest fundraising challenge ‘Move Through May’ in support of their life-changing and life-saving mental health work across the region. All funds raised will go directly into supporting this area of their work.

Everton in the Community, in partnership with Socios.com Supports is calling on you to ‘Move Through May’.

Through the month of May, they are challenging you to complete 15 Runs, Walks, Swims, or Cycles in support of the 15 bespoke mental health programmes that they deliver across the region.

The Club’s charitable arm has been leading the way in mental health provision for 15 years, delivering a series of life-saving and life-changing mental health programmes, supporting all members of society. The charity now delivers 15 mental health programmes which all have a focus on improving mental health with projects specifically for people suffering from social isolation, those living with dementia, veterans and primary school children identified as being at risk of developing mental health issues. And in March 2023, Everton in the Community became the first Premier League charity to open a purpose-built mental health and wellbeing hub – The People Place.

As well as supporting the impactful work of the charity by taking in part in this challenge, you will also be boosting your own mental wellbeing as exercise has been proven to reduce anxiety and stress whilst enhancing your mood and self-esteem. Monday 13 May to Sunday 19 May also marks Health Awareness Week with this year’s theme being ‘Movement’ so why not encourage yourself to be creative with your exercise this week to really lift your mood?

You can sign up to the challenge HERE, and all activity needs to be completed throughout May. Sign-up costs £15 which includes a medal at the end of the challenge.

The rest of the funds raised from this challenge will go back into supporting Everton in the Community’s life-saving and life-changing mental health work across the region.
