She started her career working in the House of Commons for an MP, before heading out to Washington to work for a Congressman in the US House of Representatives. It wasn’t long before she was brushing shoulders with a former President at the Whitehouse, impressing staffers so much she was invited back to attend a Presidential Inauguration!

Today she combines her political and her communication skills to network on behalf of business, broadcast on their behalf, as well as undertaking consultancy work.

As a lifelong Manchester City fan, she is passionate about sport, the business of sport and champions diversity and gender equality at an executive level.

On taking on the Manchester Chair role Jacey has said:

“I have been involved with Downtown in Business since its inception, so for me it’s an honour to take the Manchester Crown. I have met so many DIB members over the last decade, hosted a variety of their events and watched Frank grow an incredibly powerful network. This is an exciting new chapter for me and I can’t wait to get started!”

Welcoming Jacey to the team, DIB Group chairman and chief executive Frank McKenna said:

“Jacey is a fantastic addition to our team. She has been part of the Downtown in journey in Manchester since we launched in the city twelve years ago, and to have her involved in a formal role is a real boost for us.

“Her knowledge of business, politics, sport, and the Northwest will add real value for Downtown and our network. I am delighted that we have been to secure her services, and very much look forward to working with her over the next twelve months and beyond.”

Among the DIB projects Jacey will lead is the new ‘Something for the Weekend – with DIB’ monthly YouTube ‘Downtown Den’ magazine programme, which will be launched soon.
