The latest DIB online poll asked: What measure do you think Chancellor Rishi Sunak should take to help people through the current cost of living crisis?

Scrapping the planned National Insurance hike was overwhelmingly seen as the most effective way of supporting people through the challenging economic circumstances we currently face.

57% of respondents backed the idea of abandoning the proposal which has been described as a ‘tax on jobs’ by DIB Group Chairman and Chief Executive Frank McKenna. 23% thought an increase in Universal Credit would be more effective, with 20% opting to do away with the ‘green’ levy on energy bills.

LIVERPOOL’S NEWEST IRISH SPORTS BAR DICEY REILLYS SET FOR DERBY DAY DEBUT

Liverpool’s newest and most stylish  Irish sports bar Dicey Reillys on Wolstenholme Square has opened just in time for it’s Derby Day debut next Wednesday.
The venue will show a full schedule of sport including football, rugby, Gaelic football and hurling, golf, racing, boxing and F1.  Opening Monday-Thursday from 3pm until 11pm, Friday and Saturday from 12.00pm to 11.45pm, and Sundays from midday until 11pm.
