Downtown in Business are delighted to announce that Jo Phillips will be one of the keynote speakers at the 'Talking 'Bout Regeneration' conference 2024.

Downtown in Business will host its third annual Property and Regeneration conference on Thursday 8th February 2024 at the Lowry Hotel, Manchester.

We are delighted to announce that Jo Phillips will join the event as one of our keynote speakers.

Jo is an award-winning journalist and former Director of Communications in the corporate and not-for-profit sectors. She worked as Paddy Ashdown’s Press Secretary when he was the leader of the Liberal Democrats and has advised a range of leading personalities and organisation – including Bob Geldof and the BBC.

Jo also has experience of developing public/private sector partnerships having worked with the regeneration team at Lambeth Borough Council.

Among the other contributors to the conference are the mayor of West Yorkshire, Tracy Brabin, the chief executives from Newcastle, Leeds, Wolverhampton, Manchester, and Salford City Councils, Executive Directors from Liverpool and Birmingham City Councils, and the co-founder of Purple Bricks, Kenny Bruce.

Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham will join the sponsors pre-conference dinner.
