To mark Mental Health Awareness Week, Downtown in Business hosted a special roundtable lunch in Birmingham on Tuesday (13 May 2025).
Former England football international Trevor Steven, now the chief executive of Mindflow, a charity established to tackle mental health challenges within the Construction sector, outlined the work and objectives of his organisation, highlighting the startling fact that three construction workers a week take their own life.
The CEO of Regeneration Brainery, Michelle Steele, also contributed to the event, explaining how she and her team are working to make the property industry more diverse – with a particular emphasis on encouraging young people into the sector.
