TV Chef Simon Rimmer Announced as Keynote Speaker at #CHS19

The Conference & Hospitality Show is pleased to announce popular television chef, Simon Rimmer, as its Keynote speaker.

The Conference & Hospitality Show, which celebrates its tenth anniversary on Tuesday 30th April, at first direct arena, Leeds, is pleased to announce popular television chef, Simon Rimmer, as its Keynote speaker.

Simon will be ‘in conversation’, with Samme Allen, chair of the CHS Awards, who will lead a Q & A session taking questions from the floor, where delegates will get the chance to meet him and ask about his career as a talented chef and owner of fourteen restaurants in the Northwest and Dubai.  Simon admits his passion for food began as a restaurateur and continues to cook in the restaurants every week, which he enjoys immensely as it also keeps him in touch with changing culinary trends.

Looking ahead to the Conference & Hospitality Show, Simon said: “I love being able to interact with a live audience and share stories and experience.  I understand that this is a tenth-anniversary show so I’m expecting a lively bunch of people.  I’m particularly looking forward to being in a room of hospitality professionals and find out what’s new and innovative in the industry.”

Whilst he is best known as the co-presenter of Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch, the perfect post-hangover show featuring a mix of chat, current affairs, guests and food with Tim Lovejoy, he has a wealth of TV experience such as the Channel 4 documentary Tricks of the Restaurant Trade , Meals in Moments (BBC2), and of course, as a contestant in BBC1s Strictly Come Dancing 2017 series.

To add to his talents, Simon has written and published five successful books and he regularly contributes to food magazines including Delicious, Olive, BBC Good Food Magazine and Vegetarian Living.  He is a favourite at food festivals and demonstrations across the country.  He has in the past appeared at BBC Good Food Show and Grand Designs Live, as well as many local and regional events across the UK.

Emma Cartmell, CEO of CHS Group, said: “We’re delighted that Simon will be our special guest at our tenth anniversary Conference & Hospitality Show.  Not only is he a consummate performer and well-known television chef and presenter, as the owner of fourteen restaurants, he has a vast amount of experience in the hospitality industry.  Our delegates will love to hear about his own experiences and understanding how he keeps up to date with emerging trends whilst juggling several busy roles.”

The 10th-anniversary #CHS19 features several panel sessions throughout the day tailored towards event professionals, PAs and EA’s.  Founder of Practically Perfect PA, Nicky Christmas, will head-up panel discussion – how to create an amazing partnership with your boss.  Jonny Ross, of Fleek Marketing, Liz Taylor, founder and managing director of Taylor Lynn Corporate and Nick Tinker, regional business development manager of CrowdCompass by CVENT, will take delegates through the future of events.   Gavin Ingham, TED talker, coach and motivational speaker, will deliver his I am 10 presentation, a strategy to help delegates, be more, do more and have more in business and in life.
