Entrepreneur and founder of The Sedulo Group, Paul Cheetham-Karcz launched his first book, ‘Taking Care of Business’ in April 2019. Due to popular demand the book sold out in its first week, leaving Waterstones, Amazon and WHSmith having to re-order more copies for the eagerly awaiting public.

The book is a gritty, raw, real-life account of Paul’s journey from his humble beginnings growing up in a working-class area of Stockport, to heading up one of the largest accountancy firms in the UK. Sedulo now employs over 100 staff across plush offices in Manchester, Leeds and London, boasting a celebrity client base which includes people from the world of music, TV and sport.

The book launched in perfect timing with Sedulo’s 10 th birthday anniversary, and the launch of series 3 of the podcast, hosted by Paul, and also named ‘Taking Care of Business’. Previous guests have included the likes of Peter Cowgill, Chairman of JD Sports, Sanjay Vadera, Chief Executive of The Fragrance Shop and Seema Malhotra, Creative Director of fashion brand Forever Unique, some of whose own experiences are mentioned in the book.

Paul Cheetham-Karcz says,

“I wrote the book because I thought it was the right timing. I am new to the success game and the journey is raw. Too many people sugar coat the journey of success and yet it is fraught with problems. This book should appeal to anyone currently going through the struggle of building a business and balancing that with maintaining a healthy lifestyle”

Paul is very open about the fact his business has taken a number of twists and turns along the journey of how to build a brand and how to look after the well-being of your staff.

As  someone who suffers with anxiety himself this book contains a candid and endearing tone,  not only for people in business, but anyone looking for an inspirational read.

Paul continues,

‘If people only take a few thoughts and ideas away from this book that enhance or change their outlook in business or life itself, then it’s achieved its purpose’.
