The annual Women In Business awards celebrates the finest female-led businesses, the established and up-and-coming entrepreneurs and the women who make the most valuable contribution to the growth of the Liverpool City Region’s economy.

Founded and based in Liverpool City Region, BioGrad is leading the way in laboratory-based learning, diagnostics, STEM cell and regenerative medicine research, with a clear mission that everyone should have access to gold standard healthcare and education.

In January 2023, under the BioGrad Diagnostics arm, the company opened the UK’s second largest biobank facility in Liverpool, as part of a £7.6m investment into a new headquarters at Wavertree Technology Park. The investment also includes the new BioGrad Innovation Centre – a space to support city region-based, female-led science and tech SMEs.

BioGrad Education already has over 500 partner schools across Europe and is contracted to provide science and education for eight of the top ten schools in the UK, as well as the top 1% of schools in Europe.
