DOWNTOWN IN BUSINESS CHESHIRE TO HOST ANOTHER GROUND BREAKING EVENT – CHESHIRE AND THE NORTHERN POWERHOUSE

‘Cheshire and the Northern Powerhouse’ will take place in Chester from 12 PM to 2:30 PM, featuring Henri Murison, Chief Executive of The Northern Powerhouse Partnership. The event will discuss the future of towns in the North and the latest developments within the Chester City region.

On Thursday, June 27th, Downtown in Business will host another event in the highly popular ‘Northern Power Towns’ series. ‘Cheshire and the Northern Powerhouse’ will take place in Chester from 12:00pm to 2:30pm, featuring Henri Murison, Chief Executive of The Northern Powerhouse Partnership. This event will bring together leading figures from the private and public sectors, as well as business leaders from across the Chester and Cheshire region, for valuable networking and discussion.

Attendees will include leaders, chief executives, and senior decision-makers, alongside private sector partners. The event will focus on opportunities to drive economic growth in the region through regeneration, culture, people, and collaboration. Discussions will cover the future of towns in the North and the latest developments within the Chester City and Cheshire region. Drawing on his experiences as Chief Executive of the Northern Powerhouse Partnership as well as his time on Newcastle City Council, Henri Murison will share his unique perspectives on collaboration, innovation, development, and technology.

Henri’s role at the heart of the Northern Powerhouse Group, an independent body established to represent the voice of major business and civic leaders across the North, makes him the perfect speaker to address current trends and issues facing businesses and communities in and around Chester. After his address, the floor will open for questions and discussion, allowing delegates to share their views.

Henri is a public affairs and stakeholder relationship expert with experience in financial services, public, and voluntary sectors. He was appointed the first Director of the Northern Powerhouse Partnership in 2017 and became Chief Executive in 2022. He has also served as a Cabinet member at Newcastle City Council and held significant roles at the Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner for West Yorkshire and the Yorkshire Building Society. Henri has demonstrated a true commitment to the Northern Powerhouse and consistently leads efforts to promote and advance the North in all areas of his career.
