Downtown in Business is hosting over sixty events from September to the end of 2024 – including award dinners in Manchester, Birmingham, and Liverpool.

Downtown in Business is hosting over sixty events from September to the end of 2024 – including award dinners in Manchester, Birmingham, and Liverpool.

DIB chief executive and group chairman Frank McKenna said:

“We have a really ambitious programme of events right across the country for the remainder of this year.

“We will be welcoming Ministers, mayors, local authority leaders and decision makers, and successful entrepreneurs from a range of industry sectors, as we look to end the year in style.”

In Liverpool DIB have confirmed events with the chief executive of the Knowledge Quarter Colin Sinclair, regeneration boss Nuala Gallagher, city council leader Cllr Liam Robinson, metro mayor Steve Rotheram, and city council chief executive Andrew Lewis. A date is being arranged to host a Leaders Lunch with Liberal Democrat leader Cllr Carl Cashman and his colleague Lord Mike Story. 

On Thursday 5th September, DIB is supporting the Liverpool Business Improvement District’s 20th anniversary conference ‘People, Power, Places’ and Downtown is also hosting a parliamentary reception for Liverpool business leaders on Wednesday 30th October – which is budget day!

Bruntwood SciTech has announced a new letting at Alderley Park to global scientific manufacturer Leco, at its science and technology campus, Alderley Park.

The US-based scientific instruments manufacturer is relocating its UK headquarters and will be launching a new UK Training Centre as part of the move. The Bruntwood built facility will offer their customers the opportunity for skilled development in its demo lab – located adjacent to their workspace, reaffirming its commitment to empowering customers through education and practical training.
